(Nov.16, 2007) –The
Big West Conference announced that UC Riverside junior Jennifer
Bermingham was named Big West Women's Golfer of the Month
for November. Bermingham earns her second Golfer of the Month
award of the season and third of her career after winning
the Cal Poly/Lamkin Cup (11/5-11/6).
She led the Highlanders
to a team victory with rounds of 68 and 74 to win the individual
title by three strokes. The Highlanders posted back-to-back
scores of 299 to win the two-round tournament by six strokes
over second-place Northern Arizona and Cal Poly.
Bermingham’s opening
round 4-under-par 68, was her personal best and set a school
record. The 2-under par total of 142 was also a personal best
and set another school 36 hole-record. The 142 established
a new course record at Cypress Ridge Golf Course.
Bermingham, won the Gonzaga
MDA Women's Invitational in late September and now has five
career tournament titles.
The Highlanders are off
until February 11th and 12th when they will compete in the
UCR Lady Braveheart Classic.
