16, 2007) – UC Riverside finished 13th of 19 teams in
San Diego State’s Aztec Fall Classic, held at Salt Creek
Golf Course in Chula Vista, Calif. UC Irvine won the tournament
with a combined 593 (+17). UCI’s Patty Chawalitmetha
was the medalist with a two-under-par 142, the only player
to finish the tournament under par.
The top scorer for UCR was
junior Allison Ek, who placed tied for 23rd, finishing the
two round event with a +9, 153. September’s Big West
Golfer of the Month, junior Jennifer Bermingham finished with
a score of 155 and tied for 33rd. One shot behind Berminham
was sophomore Alexandra Erdman. Sophomore Ashlee Yee (163)
and freshman Natalie Guidry (168) rounded out the rest of
the scores for the Highlanders.
The women’s golf team
returns to the links Nov. 5th when they participate in the
Firestone Grill Cal Poly Invitational in Arroyo Grande, Calif.
