Natalie Guidry Signs Letter of Intent

(June 15, 2007) - Natalie Guidry of Great Oak HS in Temecula, CA has signed a national letter of intent to play women's golf at UC Riverside, Head Coach Paul Hjulberg announced.

Guidry played for Head Coach Mike Wetzel at Great Oak HS and helped the first year team to a second place finish in the Southwestern League and to a 13th place finish in the CIF Southern Section Central Division Qualifier. Guidry placed fourth overall in the League Championships with a two-round total of 163, good for fourth, and competed in the Girls Southern Section Individual playoffs. She was one of just six women golfers to advance to the CIF Section Finals from the Inland Empire, earning All-District First Team and Team MVP honors.

"Natalie will fit right in to our strong core group of golfers on the women's team," Hjulberg said. "I am looking forward to working with her."

Playing on the International Junior Golf Tour in the spring of 2007, the 17-year old placed fifth at the Temecula Creek Inn Tournament with a two-round total of 159, and finished eighth at the Fitness for Golf Westin Kierland Classic in Scottsdale, AZ with a total of 155.
