(March 6, 2008) - The Big
West Confrence announced Monday that sophomore Jacqulyn Lewis
has earned the Big West Women's Field Athlete of the week
after her performance at the All-Cal Challenge Cup in Irvine,
CA last week.
Lewis (Fresno, CA/Hoover
HS) got her season started off in a big way at the last week's
Invitational, scoring first place in the long jump with an
effort of 5.91 meters. The mark was just off the regional
qualifying mark of 6.00 meters.
The team will be competing
in Ben Brown Invitational in Fullerton as well as the Soka
University Peace Classic in Alis Viejo this weekend.
