Women's Distance Medley Finishes Second
At Drake Relays

(April 25, 2008) – The UC Riverside Women's Distance Medley Relay Team of Lisa Lopez, Tajma Stephenson, Ashley Williams and Brenda Martinez finished in second place Friday afternoon at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa with a time of 11:32.29. Baylor University grabbed the top spot, with the Highlanders besting 11 other teams including those from Minnesota and Kansas State, which finished first and third in last year's event.

In other Friday competition, the Highlanders' Women's 4x400m Relay Team of Uchechi Egeonuigwe, TreAna Hundley, Lauren Reid and Marina Young finished fifth in its heat and 16th overall with a time of 3:49.40. The Women's 4x100m Relay Team of Hundley, Reid, Jackie Lewis and Molly Russell finished eighth in its heat and 28th overall with a time of 48.82.
