2007: Appeared in 53 games, making 50 starts... also made eight appearances in the circle including one start... earned Big West All-Conferce Honorable Mention after leading the team with a .338 batting average, 10 doubles, and 34 RBI... launched six homers and led the team with 50 hits... also led the team with 11 mutiple-hit games and 11 mutiple-RBI games... in the circle, finished with a 0-3 record and a 6.81 ERA... struck out 21 batters in 24.2 innings pitched... finished 4-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored against Iowa (3/9/07)... went 3-for-3 with a double and four RBI... went 2-for-3 with a homer, a double, and two RBI against Loyola Marymount (2/28/07).

High School: Was a four-year letterwinner in softball for the Patriots... helped her 2006 team to a 10-0 mark in conference play, then pitching all 24 innings - striking out 18 - as Liberty defeated Clovis-Buchanan 1-0 in the Central Section Division I Championship game... posted a 22-5 record and a 0.28 ERA on the season, striking out 193 and walking just 35... hit .488 with a .700 slugging percentage... helped the team to the Southeast Yosemite League Championship in 2004 and 2005... named all-area and All-Southeast Yosemite League in each of her four years.

Personal: Marissa Natasha Alvidrez was born September 28, 1988 in Bakersfield, CA... parents are Al and Maureen Alvidrez... majoring in sociology... roots for the New York Yankees... favorite athlete is Derek Jeter... enjoys eating Mexican food... favorite television shows are House and American Idol... favorite films are “Walk the Line” and “Napoleon Dynamite”... enjoys listening to the music of Big and Rich... last name is pronounced “Al-VEE-drez”.
