(February 10, 2008) - UC Riverside surrendered two runs in the eighth inning and lost a 7-6 eight-inning decision to Colorado State in their final game at the Palm Springs Tournament in Palm Springs Sunday afternoon. Junior Katie Curtis finished with three RBI to lead the way for the Highlanders (1-4).

UCR took a 6-5 lead in their half of the eighth on an RBI single by Curtis. But the Rams rallied back and put two runners across in the bottom of the inning to pick up the victory.

The Highlanders return home to host the "a TEN Constructin Tournament" running from Friday through Sunday. UCR will face Northern Colorado on Friday at 2:00 p.m. Other teams competing are San Diego and Loyola Marymount.
