2005-06: Was 12-13 in singles play, including 9-12 in dual matches... played primarily at No. 4 (13 starts), but also appeared at No. 3 (eight starts)... his 12 singles wins were third best on the team... posted a 10-15 mark in doubles play, including 8-13 in dual matches... teamed with Norman Tam to post a 5-8 record in doubles... was 4-2 with Mark Contreras... tied for second on the team with 10 doubles wins... was named All-Big West Honorable Mention in singles and combined with teammate Mark Contreras to earn second team honors in doubles.

2004-05: Was 8-16 in singles play, including 8-13 in dual matches... played at #2, #3, #4, and #5, registering most of his time at #3, where he posted a 5-12 mark... was 5-13 in doubles play, combining with three partners... posted a 5-8 mark with teammate Jordan Leo at #3 doubles.

High School: Competed with the North Oxford Lawn Tennis Club... won the National Club League under-18 Championship in 2003... played for Oxfordshire Senior County Team for three years, and for the under-18 team.

Personal: Joseph Patrick Cartledge was born August 14, 1986 in England... parents are David and Susan Cartledge... majoring in political science... roots for Newcastle United in the English Premier League... favorite athlete is Arthur Ashe... enjoys reading novels by Tim O'Brien... favorite novel is "The Things They Carried"... enjoys listening to the Libertines... favorite movies are "The Godfather" and "40 Days and 40 Nights"... favorite television show is British soap opera Eastenders... favorite food is chicken burgers... career goal is to become a world class tennis player after graduating from UCR.
