UCR Picks Up Four Post-Season Awards
(April 29, 2008) - The Big West Conference announced Tuesday that UC Riverside had fhree All-Conference selections after producing solid 2008 seasons. Joe Cartledge was placed on the second team, the #1 doubles team of Cartledge and Ahmad Shiraz were named to the doubles-first team, and #2 doubles team of Quoac Doan/John Park received honorable mention.

(April 25, 2008) - The UC Riverside Men's Tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to Pacific in the quarterfinal round of the Big West Championships held in Indian Wells, CA Friday afternoon. Ahmad Shiraz won his #6 singles match-up and UCR had their #1 and #2 doubles teams also pick up victories.

UC Riverside Drops Final Regular Season Big West Conference Match To Cal Poly
(April 20, 2008) - The UC Riverside men's tennis team (7-13, 0-5) dropped its final regular season Big West Conference match to Cal Poly Sunday afternoon, 6-1. The Big West Championships are scheduled for April 24-27 with the Highlanders likely squaring off against Pacific in the first round. Joe Cartledge won his No. 1 Singles match and also teamed up with Ahmad Shiraz to win at No. 1 Doubles.

UCR Upends Vanguard, 4-3
(April 16, 2008) - The UC Riverside men's tennis team (7-12, 0-4) topped Vanguard University, the eighth ranked NAIA school in the nation, 4-3, Wednesday afternoon at UC Riverside's Student Recreation Center Tennis Complex. The Highlanders have one more match against conference rival Cal Poly before the Big West Championships, Apr. 24-27.

UCR Drops 4-3 Decision To Loyola Marymount
(April 11, 2008) -The UC Riverside men's tennis team (6-12, 0-4) dropped a close non-conference road match at Loyola Marymount University today falling 4-3. The Highlanders took the doubles point behind the strength of their No. 1 Team of Joe Cartledge and Ahmad Shiraz, but lost four of six singles matches to give the Lions the win.

(April 6, 2008) - Freshman Qouc Doan was the lone Highlander to break into the win column picking up the point at No. 5 Singles in a non-confrence loss at Nevada.

(Mar. 15, 2008) - The UC Riverside Men's Tennis team won a 4-3 decision over Montana State. UCR (4-7) split the six singles matches but picked up the win after taking two of the three doubles match-ups.

Three Highlanders Earn All-Conference Honors
