(April 23, 2008) – UC Riverside’s Men’s
Tennis #1 singles player
Joe Cartledge picked up his first career Big West player
of the week award April 23. Cartledge picked wins in the #1
singles and in the #1 doubles match against Cal Poly last
week.
Cartledge beat Cal Poly’s Andrew Gerst 6-4, 6-1 in
the singles match and then teamed up with Ahmad Shiraz to
take the #1 doubles match 8-5 later in the day.
The Highlanders head to Indian Wells, CA for the Big West
Championships beginning later this week..
