2006: Started all 19 games... made 80 saves, tying his career-high and tied for the second-most in a season at UCR... posted goals-against average of 1.93... played 1,769:14 minutes, a new UCR single-season record... registered three shutouts... named Big West Player of the Week for October 9-15 after posting back-to-back shutouts of UC Santa Barbara (10/11/06) and Cal State Northridge (10/14/06)... named to SoccerAmerica.com Team of the Week for October 9-15... also had shutout against Cal Poly (10/28/06)... named Big West Conference Scholar-Athlete... named to the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII Team.
2005: Was granted a medical red shirt after suffering a broken finger against San Diego State (9/10/05) and missed the rest of the season... had started all three games in which he appeared in… recorded 14 saves with a 2.19 goals against average…
2004: Started all 17 games in which he appeared… recorded 80 saves with a 1.88 goals against average… set school single season record for wins with seven... had four shutouts, second in the Big West Conference… made two saves in a shutout of San Diego State (9/9/04)... stopped six shots in a 1-0 win over Denver in Seattle (9/17/04)... preserved the shutout with four saves at UC Irvine (10/6/04)... posted a shutout with six saves in a 1-0 double overtime win against UC Irvine (11/6/04).
2003: Played in nine matches... posted a team best goals against average of 1.18... recorded 52 saves and three shutouts... made 12 saves in the tie against Cal State Northridge (9/18/03)... posted first collegiate shutout against Saint Mary’s (8/29/03)... posted a shutout against Westmont College (9/27/03).
High School: Recorded 16 shutouts as a senior... PAC 5 League MVP... All-County MVP... All-CIF First Team.
Personal: Charles Alamo is the son of Michael and Lynda Alamo... majoring in political science... hobbies include windsurfing, and arts and crafts... listens to The Mars Volta... favorite movie is “The Usual Suspects.”
