Riverside finished in 13th at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic held
at the Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, AZ. The three-round
tournament wrapped up on Tuesday and Scott
Clayton led the way for the Highlanders with his 16th
place finish.
Clayton shot rounds of
69, 69, and 70 to finish with a total score of 208 only six
shots back of the first-place finisher, Troy Merritt (Bosie
State). Spencer
Paschall finished in 36th after rounds of 67, 75, and
71 and Andrew
Cortez posted rounds of 70, 73, and 71 to pick up a 38th
place finish.
The Highlanders finished
with a total team score of 861 as UC Davis won the team title
after posting a team score of 833.
The next competition for
UCR is the Big West Championships held in Rancho Santa Margarita,
CA on April 21 and 22.
