2003-04: Redshirted the season.
High School: Was a three-year letterwinner at Downey HS under Coach Larry Shelton... primarily played point guard and averaged 24 points, seven rebounds and three assists per game... named All-CIF for Division 1-AA, helping his team to a 17-13 overall mark, the co-championship of the San Gabriel Valley League, and the second round of the CIF tournament... named SGV League Co-Player of the Year… scored 30 or more points on nine occasions, including a career-high of 42 against Marina... was a second-team all-CIF selection in Division 1-AA as a junior, averaged 19 points and eight rebounds.
Personal: Larry Lateef Cunningham is the son of Larry Cunningham and Adrianne Frazier… majoring in liberal studies with an emphasis in sociology/education… would like to become a successful business owner… roots for the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Lakers… favorite athletes are Julius “Dr. J” Erving, Brian Dawkins and Kobe Bryant… favorite novels are “Coldest Winter Ever” and “True to the Game”... enjoys eating salmon... favorite movies are “Men of Honor” and “Finding Forrester”... hobbies include listening to music, shooting pool and watching movies... most memorable sports moment was helping Downey HS defeat Dominguez HS, snapping their 100+ long league winning streak.
