Wooldridge To Take Part In Palm Springs Coaches Clinic
(June 17, 2008) - UC Riverside Head Men's Basketball Coach Jim Wooldridge has been invited to take part in the annual Palm Springs Coaches Clinic at The Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa from September 5-7, 2008. Wooldridge is scheduled to present on the topic of Building A Man-To-Man Defense.

Highlanders Host UC Riverside Elite Basketball Camp
(May 2, 2008) - The UC Riverside Elite Basketball Camp, being held on Thursday, June 19, is bringing together the best that the Southern California high school basketball community has to offer. The exclusive camp, hosted at the UC Riverside Student Rec Center, will include both skill development and high-intensity games that will allow top area student-athletes to showcase their talents to Division I coaches.

Five Men's Basketball Players Sign Letters Of Intent To Play For UC Riverside
(April 16, 2008) - UC Riverside Head Men's Basketball Coach Jim Wooldridge announced today that five student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Highlanders next season: Bryson Hampton, a 6-8, 215 lb post player from Seward County Community College (KS); Brandon Dowdy, a 6-4, 200 lb guard from Imperial Valley College (CA) who also played at Division I University of San Diego; Jessie LoBue a 6-7, 205 lb forward from Gavilan College (CA); Javon Borum a 6-0, 195 lb guard from Wallace State Community College (AL); and Rudy Meo, a 6-4 guard from Cloud County Community College (KS).

Men's Basketball Announces Two Departures
(April 10, 2008) - UC Riverside Men's Basketball Coach Jim Wooldridge announced today that junior forward B.J. Visman and junior guard Chris Johnson have left the program. National signing day for men's college basketball is Wednesday, April 16. Visman played in 29 games for the Highlanders in 2007-08 picking up three starts while averaging 2.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game. Johnson played in 14 games this season, all as a reserve, and averaged 2.6 points and 0.5 rebounds per game.

Soto Named 2007-08 Big West Academic All-Conference
(April 8, 2008) - Four members of the UC Riverside men's and women's basketball teams were honored today with inclusion on the 2007-08 Big West Academic All-Conference Team for winter sports: Christian Soto on the men's squad and Katerina Glyniadaki, Courtney Good and Jessie Schmuckal for the women.

Five different Highlanders finished with double figures in points led by junior’s Aaron Scott and Severin Gates who finished with 15 points for UCR (3-6).

(Dec. 4, 2007) – Larry Cunningham did all he could to lift UCR to their first road win of the season. In the end it was’nt enough as the Highlanders fell to San Diego State 59-46 at Cox Arena in San Diego Tuesday night.

(May 2, 2007) - Jim Wooldridge has been named the sixth coach in the history of the UC Riverside Men's Basketball program and was introduced to the media and public in a press conference on Thursday, May 3rd. Wooldridge has a 312-237 record in 19 seasons as a collegiate head coach. The Oklahoma City, OK native has earned the reputation as a skilled program builder and coach whose teams emphasize teamwork, hard-nosed defense and rebounding.
