(Sept. 28, 2007) -The UC
Riverside Highlanders men's basketball team will be featured
a minimum of twice as part of the Big West Conference television
packages,it was announced Friday by Commissioner Dennis Farrell.
UCR will host both of the
scheduled broadcasts, the first on Wednesday, January 30th
vs. the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos at 7:00 p.m. on KVMD. Then,
on Saturday, February 2nd, the UCR match-up with Cal Poly
will be shown on Fox Sports West-Prime Ticket beginning at
2 p.m.
UCR could be featured in
additional games,a s the conference will show the "best
available game" on Saturday March 1 and Saturday, March
8.
The package includes seven
regular season Saturday games on FSN Prime Ticket and one
regular season contest on ESPN2. In addition, six regular
season mid-week games will be broadcast on over-the-air station
KVMD in the Southern California market. All nine Big West
schools will appear at least once on the television package.
