(February 4, 2008) –
The pairings for the sixth annual O'Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters
Tournament were announced Monday, with UC Riverside selected
to match-up against Western Athletic Conference member, University
of Hawaii, on Saturday February 23 in the Student Rec Center.
The Highlanders will then
return the visit to face the Rainbow Warriors in Hawaii next
fall.
Hawaii currently owns a
10-11 overall record and is fourth in the WAC with a 6-3 conference
record. Both teams will play three more times before they
match-up for their first ever meeting.
The BracketBuster two-day
event was created to match-up 100 NCAA Tournament hopefuls
against each other on either Feb. 22-23. 14 games will be
nationally televised on one of the following; ESPN2, ESPNU,
ESPN360.com or ESPN Classic.
