17, 2008) – UC Riverside Head Men's Basketball Coach
Jim Wooldridge has been invited to take part in the annual
Palm Springs Coaches Clinic at The Renaissance Esmeralda Resort
and Spa from September 5-7, 2008. Wooldridge is scheduled
to present on the topic of Building A Man-To-Man Defense.
Joining the Highlanders second-year head coach as he shares
his three decades of coaching experience with pro, college
and high school coaches from all over the nation are the likes
of Steve Alford (University of New Mexico), John Welch (Denver
Nuggets), BobBurke (Portland Trailblazers) Eric Musselman
(Sacramento Kings) and Bob Hurley (St. Anthony Friars High
School).
Founded in 1995, the mission of the Palm Springs Coaches Clinic
is to serve as a great learning and educational experience
for coaches as they strive to take their teams to the next
level of success. Sessions in basketball, softball, baseball
and golf are scheduled.
In addition to the various clinics, a Coaches Sports Expo
will be held throughout the weekend and the Desert Willow
Golf Resort in Palm Desert, CA will play host to the second
annual All Coaches Open Golf Tournament.
